The good: Sam, a streetwise cop; Allen, his scientist boyfriend; and Teena, Allen’s genetically engineered super-dog.
The bad: A serial killer prowling the gay cruising spots of Hollenbeick, the college town where Sam, Allen, and Teena live.
The ugly: happens when the killer kidnaps Allen.
Sam’s a street-wise detective from LA, on the job in Hollenbeck while he works on a degree in criminal justice. Allen is a doctoral candidate working on an Army contract to genetically engineer hyper-intelligent dogs for search and rescue missions. After a casual run-in on campus, Sam visits Allen’s lab and meets Teena, a golden retriever and star of the lab.
Sam and Allen start dating at the same time that Sam begins investigating a string of cold-case murders involving young, gay men. When Allen suddenly disappears, Sam fears he’s about to become the next victim of the serial killer he’s tracking. Sam devises a daring plan involving Teena to find and rescue his lover.
